About Dr. Veale
I am a wife and mother of three small children. I was a special education teacher for over eight years before becoming an Assistant Professor of Education at a private college. My background is in special education and supervising student teachers, but my expertise derives from my years of experience utilizing personal strategies as an undergraduate, graduate and doctoral student juggling a family, work and school.
After earning two Bachelors degrees while working full time, I went on to earn a Masters of Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The test of my ability to be successful in college didn't really begin until I began my doctoral program. It was the most difficult time of my life. Because I spent the duration of the first three degrees sitting in classrooms away from my husband and children, I decided to complete my Ph.D. completely online. In 2010, I graduated from Capella University with a Ph.D. in Special Education Leadership. I know firsthand what the Ph.D. journey is like. I can help you through it.
